Organising the export of cocoa from Ghana is a true challenge: because this exotic commodity is produced continuously, the related logistics must be designed within very tight deadlines (less than a week to set up the chartering of ships with ventilated containers).

JM Shipping is one of a select circle of partners accredited by the Ghana Cocoa Board to organise the maritime transport of this perishable commodity.

The world’s second-largest producer, the Ghana Cocoa Board expects the 2021 crop to exceed one million tons: a growing market that has adapted to the plant’s diseases, in particular by introducing a manual pollination programme in 2019.
